I have been reading articles about supplements that improves health as I notice my health deteriorates since child birth. Since I breast fed my 2 babies, I notice that my body is weaker compares to before childbirth. Lacking of calcium is the most prominent notice as my nails breaks easily. So supplement is the only way to replenish the nutrion required. Apart from taking tablets supplement, the best thing to take is fresh food.
This is something good that I would like to share with everyone. My mother in law started with this and she'll brain wash all of us everyday about eating healthily by taking fresh fruits and vegetable in the morning before going to work. Somehow, I have got hooked to it for years.
As a working mother, I spend most of my time either at work or caring for the young ones at home and I hardly have any time for myself to do exercise or to eat healthily. For that reason, I will definately take a glass of juice in the morning before going to work. What is the content of my juice?
I will include a lot of stuff in the juice and rotate between ingredients every day. Toasted nuts will definately be added in the juice i.e almond, melon seed, walnut, sesame seed, macadamia, flax seed and so on. Fruits will include orange, apple, banana, guava, pineapple and vegetable will be usually celery and tomato. Put all cut fruits and nuts into a blender and drink immediately. Simple and easy!
Do you eat the fruits with skin or without? What about the wax on the surface of the fruits? I normally wash and soak it with salt water for 10 minutes before consuming.
Recently, I read an article about the benefits of flax seed of lowering the cholestrol level and I have started eating them. It could be a hassle to start but once you have started, you cannot live without! I felt so much better not comparing to before. That glass of juice in the morning is able to keep me full until lunch hour! Try it out!
